Description

  • Partner with MSSP Account Executives to understand customer challenges and articulate Sumo Logic’s value proposition, vision, and strategy.
  • Design the right solution for customer requirements and pain points.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and technical evaluations, including Proof of Value engagements.
  • Lead technical validations and guide customers through trials and POVs during the sales cycle.
  • Technically close complex opportunities using competitive knowledge, technical expertise, and credibility.
  • Work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from executives to developers and Site Reliability Engineers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering to share customer insights and improve the product and business.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Software Developer role with project leadership and/or customer-facing experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of security-related products and technologies such as IDS/IPS, SIEM/Log Management, Network/Endpoint Security, Threat Detection, Incident Response, MSSP/MDR, Threat Feeds, and CASB.
  • Experience with open source collection tools such as Telegraf, FluentBit, FluentD, and OpenTelemetry preferred.
  • Experience leading technical validations such as Proof of Value preferred.
  • Experience selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures.
  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure; certification in Azure preferred.
  • Broad understanding of technical infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, and storage.
  • Understanding and experience with modern application architecture, including microservices and containers, and with Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Lambda preferred.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, and New Relic preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment; experience at a successful startup preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with business and technical acumen.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% in the UK and DACH, with occasional travel to India.
