Description

  • Directly manage and nurture a named account list and develop account plans for upper-middle-market and enterprise accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and coordinate executive-level touchpoints.
  • Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture sales opportunities.
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through close for upper-middle-market and enterprise companies.
  • Develop relationships with executive stakeholders at new and existing clients.
  • Lead complex product workshops and financial analyses with leaders from Engineering, Product, Finance, and other functions.
  • Contribute to shaping platform partnership strategy and building repeatable processes and scaled engagement models.
  • Lead and contribute to team projects that improve and refine the sales process.
  • Engage with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales experience, preferably selling a technical product, with a track record of top performance.
  • Extensive experience selling a technology product or service, preferably at an API-first company, with top performance.
  • Proven ability to move complex, multi-party sales processes from inception to close in a highly consultative manner.
  • Experience working with upper-middle-market and enterprise companies.
  • Ability to engage in business-level and technical conversations with decision-makers across technology and finance organizations.
  • Ability to understand complex technical problems and how Stripe solutions address them.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements.
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in technology, with a deep understanding of the industry and an interest in financial technology infrastructure.
  • Fastidious CRM hygiene and experience using weekly and quarterly sales forecasting metrics.
  • Experience building value in competitive sales situations and helping customers quantify investment decisions.
