Description

  • Own annual sales targets for the Apricot liquid handling product line across the East Coast territory.
  • Drive a focused East Coast US sales strategy using the customer database and clear execution plans.
  • Generate outbound leads, conduct product demonstrations, and support post-sales activities.
  • Manage the full sales pipeline from opportunity development through follow-up and close.
  • Build consultative relationships with customers and act as a trusted advisor on solution fit.
  • Position SPT Labtech solutions against end-user workflows and communicate product benefits using available sales materials.
  • Collaborate with territory managers, key account managers, and product specialists to balance product-line selling and sales coverage.
  • Maintain strong application knowledge by leveraging training, e-learning, and internal support resources.
  • Own CRM data management and keep opportunity records current and accurate.
  • Travel regularly within the assigned East Coast region and support laboratory customers in person.

Requirements

  • Experience or familiarity with automated liquid handling, either professionally or through academic experience.
  • Education and/or experience in sales is required.
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a Life Science discipline.
  • Background in Genomics or Protein Crystallography is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of a CRM system such as Salesforce is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver formal and informal product presentations to individuals and large groups.
  • Knowledge of the lab environment and sales cycle is preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned East Coast territory, ideally while based in Boston, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania.
