Description

  • Own the regional growth strategy for African markets, including market prioritisation, channel philosophy, investment allocation, and the long-term scaling roadmap.
  • Shape brand presence at scale by collaborating on brand-building initiatives across above-the-line, OOH, and large-scale media partnerships.
  • Set strategic direction for paid acquisition across Google, Meta, TikTok, programmatic, affiliates, and mobile DSPs.
  • Provide senior oversight of performance and media channels, focusing on portfolio strategy rather than day-to-day execution.
  • Partner with brand, media, product, analytics, and creative leadership to align marketing needs with broader business decisions.
  • Lead market intelligence work to assess market dynamics, competitive positioning, and user behaviour.
  • Translate performance data and analytics into clear strategic narratives and investment plans.
  • Advise executive leadership with reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations that inform company-wide growth decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in performance marketing or user acquisition.
  • Proven experience scaling digital campaigns in African markets.
  • Fluency in English, French, or Portuguese is an advantage.
  • Strong expertise with major performance marketing platforms.
  • Advanced analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into decisions.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, including paid media, funnels, and attribution.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in finance, gaming, or highly regulated digital industries is preferred.
  • Experience working with both web and app acquisition at scale is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to fast-growing, performance-driven environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, mobile DSPs, display, and programmatic platforms.
  • Experience working with OOH, DOOH, PR, and brand initiatives.
  • Experience with market research tools, competitor audits, Google Analytics, and AppsFlyer, Adjust, Singular, or Kochava.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI.
