Description

  • Provide L3 support for urgent customer issues, including occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage.
  • Troubleshoot customer problems remotely in connected environments.
  • Work as part of a global 24x7 support team to resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Track issues from start to closure and help minimize aging cases.
  • Deliver root cause analysis for technical issues when requested.
  • Create and maintain relevant knowledge articles.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Promote best practices and new methodologies.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through responsive communication and effective issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with VMware core technologies at a senior support level.
  • Experience handling critical customer situations.
  • Knowledge of NSX-T architecture, including Managers, Controllers, Transport Nodes, Edge Nodes, and TEPs.
  • Understanding of logical switching and routing, including segment creation, Tier-0 and Tier-1 gateway design.
  • Understanding of Distributed Firewall and Gateway Firewall concepts, including micro-segmentation, rule creation and optimization, and policy grouping.
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere with hands-on experience in vCenter, ESXi, VM networking, and vDS.
  • Knowledge of REST API tools and concepts, including Curl, Postman, HTTP response codes, and crafting GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE calls.
  • Knowledge of certificates, including self-signed and CA certificates.
  • Proficiency in Linux/UNIX troubleshooting and shell commands.
  • Proficiency in networking, including switching, routing fundamentals, IP subnetting, address management, firewalls, load balancers, security trust zones, management networks, VPN, and network design.
  • Proficiency in packet capture and Wireshark.
  • Familiarity with systems management concepts such as SNMP, capacity/performance management, tuning, storage management, and network management.
  • Required certifications: LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 for Linux; CCNA for networking; VCP is required, with VCP-NV and VCAP-NV preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

  • US pay range of $125,000 to $135,000 USD.
