Description

  • Develop new UI modules and integration layers between PitchBook and Brightspot CMS systems.
  • Support the migration from a custom-built CMS platform to Brightspot CMS.
  • Build high-quality, testable code that meets engineering standards for reliability, stability, performance, and other non-functional requirements.
  • Perform code reviews, create unit tests, and follow SDLC procedures and team engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing, editorial, research, and third-party representatives, to align on sprint goals and business needs.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade, and improve existing systems to enhance functionality and performance.
  • Document and maintain software functionality and clearly communicate technical concepts, problems, and solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, system design, and backlog items that support team goals.
  • Identify and address technical debt to improve delivery efficiency and system stability.
  • Participate in Scrum and team processes, including daily standups, sprint reviews/demos, and engineering check-ins.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in web software development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in server-side rendering concepts such as Handlebars and Freemarker.
  • Deep expertise in responsive HTML and CSS.
  • Familiarity with SEO and accessibility optimizations.
  • Good knowledge of KnockoutJS and ReactJS.
  • Strong Java 11+ and good OOP skills.
  • Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot 3, MVC, and MVVM patterns.
  • Experience with message brokers such as Kafka and AWS SNS/SQS.
  • Good knowledge of microservices concepts.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MS SQL.
  • Strong understanding and active use of AI tooling for productivity, coding, testing, and code review.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive improvements.
  • English at Upper-Intermediate level (B2 or higher) and fluent Ukrainian.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab or GitHub.
  • Ability to adapt and contribute to other projects if needed.
  • Experience with Java-based CMS systems is a nice-to-have.
