Description

Work directly with the co-founders on product and engineering priorities.
Build new user experiences and product features for customers.
Own central, complex components of the application.
Ship new features on a weekly basis.
Implement a scalable, stable, and user-friendly product that supports growth.
Collaborate with software engineers in design, development, and maintenance of the product.
Drive the product roadmap by turning rough specs into features.
Work cross-functionally with product, design, customer success, support, and sales teams.
Find elegant solutions to usability problems.
Debug production issues and improve systems when problems are found.

Requirements

Experience designing and maintaining complex, large, or growing systems.
Strong systems thinking, including attention to edge cases, failure modes, bottlenecks, migrations, releases, and metrics.
Ability to debug production issues and find root causes.
Proactive mindset with a bias toward fixing problems and suggesting improvements.
Commitment to best practices and thorough testing.
Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or Redis is not required.
Interest in working on NLP models and large-scale search/data systems is a plus.
Comfort working in a fullstack team in a post-Series A startup environment.
Aligned with building software that is critical to customer success.
