Description

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications supporting CBP systems.
  • Build scalable backend services using Python, Java, and Spring Boot.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces with Angular, TypeScript, Angular Material, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Design and consume RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture.
  • Develop applications in Linux containerized environments.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and production release activities throughout the SDLC.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, stakeholders, and end users.
  • Improve existing applications through performance optimization, feature enhancements, and technical modernization.
  • Create reusable libraries, components, and services to improve maintainability and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience developing applications in Linux containerized environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, PostgreSQL, AWS, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Angular development, including Angular Material, component architecture, state management, and UI performance optimization.
  • Experience integrating Angular frontends with Spring Boot microservices and building Single Page Applications.
  • Experience creating reusable libraries and responsive user interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Service-Oriented Architecture, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience using Git and collaborative source control workflows.
  • Working knowledge of the SDLC, including planning, requirements management, development, testing, QA, configuration management, and release management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred: AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Oracle Certified Professional (Java).
  • Preferred: Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies, ETL tools, DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, application security best practices, UML, NGRX or NGXS, and enterprise system architecture/distributed systems design.
