Description

Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications supporting CBP systems.
Build scalable backend services using Python, Java, and Spring Boot.
Develop responsive user interfaces with Angular, TypeScript, Angular Material, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Design and consume RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture.
Develop applications in Linux containerized environments.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and production release activities throughout the SDLC.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, stakeholders, and end users.
Improve existing applications through performance optimization, feature enhancements, and technical modernization.
Create reusable libraries, components, and services to improve maintainability and scalability.
Conduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience developing applications in Linux containerized environments.
Hands-on experience with Python, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, PostgreSQL, AWS, and microservices architecture.
Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Strong understanding of Angular development, including Angular Material, component architecture, state management, and UI performance optimization.
Experience integrating Angular frontends with Spring Boot microservices and building Single Page Applications.
Experience creating reusable libraries and responsive user interfaces.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Service-Oriented Architecture, and software engineering best practices.
Experience using Git and collaborative source control workflows.
Working knowledge of the SDLC, including planning, requirements management, development, testing, QA, configuration management, and release management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred: AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Oracle Certified Professional (Java).
Preferred: Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies, ETL tools, DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, application security best practices, UML, NGRX or NGXS, and enterprise system architecture/distributed systems design.
