Description

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of applications using web technologies.
  • Gather product requirements and evaluate them to propose high-level designs and technical solutions.
  • Write high-quality, well-documented code that follows team and department standards.
  • Analyze applications to ensure they are interoperable, performant, and maintainable.
  • Estimate development timelines for assigned work.
  • Participate in code reviews and recommend improvements to improve quality and reduce defects.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and project roadblocks.
  • Maintain technical product and end-user support documentation.
  • Stay current on technologies used in existing and new solution modules, including machine learning and data storage frameworks.
  • Support other team members on complex projects and contribute to software development best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle software development lifecycle experience.
  • Post-secondary education in computer science, computer engineering, or similar, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Java and the Spring framework.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational databases using SQL.
  • Experience using Git in collaborative development environments.
  • Understanding of CI pipelines, build automation, containerization, Docker, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in middleware product development, unit testing practices (TDD), and transaction processing.
  • Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation.
  • Healthcare or technology industry experience preferred; healthcare, HL7, and FHIR knowledge are assets.
  • Full-stack development experience with Angular, JavaScript, Node.js, and npm, plus knowledge of HTTP protocols and browser-based development is nice to have.
