Description

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed software and services sales quotas across a defined book of business.
  • Execute a solution-based sales process across multiple groups within enterprise accounts of 15,000+ employees.
  • Manage strategic renewals with IT and business units within large enterprise accounts.
  • Develop and prospect whitespace opportunities by identifying high-value needs across departments and lines of business.
  • Expand Smartsheet’s footprint by leveraging existing relationships to drive revenue growth during renewals.
  • Articulate and demonstrate Smartsheet’s organizational solutions and functional value.
  • Partner with Sales Engineers, Solutions Consultants, Sales Development, and Customer Success to support the full sales cycle and close business.
  • Create and maintain Joint Engagement Plans for strategic solution deals.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records and use MEDDICC qualification guidelines to support forecasting.
  • Use sales enablement tools, account research, and external resources to identify top accounts and territory opportunities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full-cycle sales experience from prospecting to close in a technology-oriented field; SaaS experience is highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working with enterprise accounts of more than 10,000 employees.
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining customer relationships in a B2B environment.
  • Experience prospecting and managing a designated territory to maximize revenue growth.
  • Ability to research accounts to uncover up-sell opportunities and multi-thread across an organization.
  • Data-driven sales approach that informs customer guidance and sales process.
  • Ability to manage strategic interactions with senior-level management.
  • Experience using CRM and BI tools such as Salesforce and Tableau to track activities, metrics, and territory insights.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini to support storytelling is preferred.
  • Passion for working with new technologies and technical concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of post-secondary education.
