Description

  • Serve as the first point of contact for approximately 130 Colombian employees on HR inquiries, conflict resolution, disciplinary matters, and day-to-day support.
  • Manage end-to-end leave administration for medical, maternity/paternity, and other leaves, including EPS reimbursement follow-up and return-to-work coordination.
  • Own the full offboarding process, including severance coordination, equipment collection, documentation, and final settlement oversight.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, including orientation, employment contracts, pre-employment medicals, equipment provisioning, and systems access setup.
  • Maintain accurate employee master data in UKG and submit all payroll changes to TMF on time and in the correct format each cycle.
  • Own the day-to-day relationship with TMF, including payroll run approvals, invoice review, error escalation, and payroll calendar accountability.
  • Liaise with Finance and BBVA Colombia on payroll funding and bank file approvals.
  • Support internal audits, UGPP oversight, and maintain SOPs and compliance documentation in an audit-ready state.
  • Support the transition to Sezzle Colombia SAS payroll operations, including roster build-out, BPO onboarding, parallel-run validation, and first-cycle dress rehearsal.
  • Oversee UGPP audits and help ensure payroll is clean, compliant, and on time.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of payroll, HR, People Operations, or HR Coordinator experience, ideally in a tech, fintech, or fast-growing startup environment.
  • Solid grounding in Colombian labor law fundamentals, including leave entitlements, termination procedures, onboarding requirements, and statutory obligations.
  • Working knowledge of Colombian payroll statutory requirements, including PILA submission experience, DIAN reporting, cesantías, prima, parafiscales, and social security processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for payroll reconciliation, variance analysis, and error detection.
  • Strong working English, with daily communication across US-based People Ops, Finance, and Legal stakeholders.
  • HRIS experience with UKG, Workday, ADP, or a similar system, including HRIS-to-payroll data flows.
  • A documented track record of catching errors before payroll is released and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive data such as total compensation, terminations, and personal information.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
  • Experience supporting a payroll or HR transition, such as an entity standup, EOR exit, or provider change, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with UGPP reporting requirements and/or PILA submission processes is preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-country or global company where Colombian operations interface with a US-based HQ is preferred.
  • Spanish as a native language and English at a business-fluent level is preferred.
