Description

  • Champion and model Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales.
  • Become an expert on Samsara’s IoT, AI, and computer vision products.
  • Explain how customers in relevant industries use Samsara to solve operational challenges.
  • Lead pre-sales work products such as discovery sessions, demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Guide installers through product installation best practices and help build deployment plans.
  • Write scripts using the open API to automate workflows and solve customer problems.
  • Serve as a consultant to customers to support integration, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between product and sales teams by translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science from a 4-year accredited university.
  • 2+ years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support role.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders using technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes and change management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Prior experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, and automation/control systems.
  • Must be located in and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience with task automation scripting and data transfer using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent languages.
  • Preferred: experience building solutions with open APIs.
  • Preferred: understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and PTO applications.
  • Preferred: hobbyist interest in electronics-driven projects such as car audio, classic car restoration, home automation, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino.
  • Preferred: consistent track record of selling complex technical solutions through strategic sales cycles.
