Description

  • Hire and lead a high-performing team of 6-8 product specialist account executives to achieve quarterly targets.
  • Provide onboarding and ongoing support to drive team readiness, growth, and professional development.
  • Build strong relationships with mainline account executives, leaders, and specialist sales engineers to improve team selling and conversion.
  • Monitor pipeline performance and partner with mainline owners and account development representatives to create account plans that attack whitespace.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and strategy to solve problems and improve the go-to-market motion for the new product.
  • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as the specialist organization scales globally.
  • Lead a cross-functional pod of resources designed to refine GTM strategy and accelerate new product growth globally.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of sales experience with proven success owning a complex selling motion from prospecting through close.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams.
  • Strong track record of overachievement and experience coaching a team on outbounding.
  • Understanding of complex sales cycles with multiple decision makers, multiple products, and extended time frames.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort with public speaking.
  • Experience in overlay sales or new product launches is preferred.
  • Experience working with Product and Marketing to influence GTM strategy is preferred.
  • Ability to operate in strategic partnership with senior AEs and account teams is preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Claude, Gong, and other key sales tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks is preferred.
