Description

  • Coach a team of approximately 8 account executives on sales strategy, pipeline reviews, and quarterly target attainment.
  • Hire new account executives and provide onboarding and ongoing coaching to support their growth and success.
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and manage projects.
  • Create training content to support ongoing team development.
  • Support account executives with professional development plans.
  • Provide clear, tactical feedback to account executives.
  • Foster team culture across the commercial organization with high emotional intelligence.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally and across new offices.
  • Build and lead an inclusive, engaged, high-performing team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of enterprise selling experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a sales team, preferably a Public Sector team.
  • Experience selling full-cycle into the Public Sector, including Local Government, K-12, and Higher Education.
  • Proven ability to train, lead, motivate, and develop sales teams.
  • Experience with complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, multiple products, and extended time frames.
  • Strong track record of overachieving quota.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce (SFDC) and accurate forecasting methodology.
  • Ability to travel up to once per month for onsite visits.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to provide upward feedback.
  • Awards or recognition for top achievement, such as President’s Club, Winner’s Circle, or Top 10% (preferred).
  • Passion for helping account executives close large, complex deals (preferred).
