Description

  • Drive technical and strategic engagement with public sector partners, including ISVs, distribution partners, and referral partners.
  • Act as an advisor on how Samsara and partner platforms integrate, overlap, and create complementary value for government customers.
  • Identify solution fit, integration scope, and new technology-driven revenue opportunities through deep discovery of partner environments.
  • Develop strong relationships with key public sector partners and become fluent in their platforms, workflows, and solution offerings.
  • Guide partners in using Samsara APIs to build scalable integrations with government-facing systems and platforms.
  • Provide architectural guidance and best practices for joint customers operating in government environments.
  • Partner with Product Management and internal teams to develop, maintain, and improve public sector integrations.
  • Deliver presentations, demos, proofs of value, trainings, and technical support for partners and customer-facing teams.
  • Enable internal sales and partner teams to position and sell public sector integrations and joint solutions.
  • Prepare technical resources such as solution proposals, reference architectures, and enablement materials.
  • Travel up to 50% to meet partners, attend industry events, and demonstrate Samsara’s platform in person and remotely.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles while helping the company scale its partner ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience working with customers or partners in a pre-sales, customer success, or technical support role.
  • Experience integrating SaaS platforms using RESTful APIs, including custom integrations.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders using technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes and change management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
  • Willingness to travel to support partners and customers, including onsite engagements when required.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a creative approach to removing sales obstacles.
  • Comfort working in a fast-growing, dynamic technical organization.
  • Demonstrated success advancing technical relationships between two large organizations.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a channel or partner-driven environment, ideally with public sector ISVs, government technology providers, or distribution partners like Carahsoft, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes, contract vehicles such as Sourcewell, NASPO, and GSA, and public sector compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of common integration standards and transports such as REST, XML, SOAP, or EDI is preferred.
  • Exposure to SaaS-based integrations and platform ecosystems is preferred.
  • IoT or general technical tinkering experience is preferred.
  • Background in public sector operations, K-12 transportation, transit, public works, public safety, or government fleet management is preferred.
