Description

  • Design and lead system changes that improve performance, scalability, and observability for ad display and tracking.
  • Develop tools and optimizations that measurably improve critical user performance metrics.
  • Implement, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain HTTP and gRPC services and batch jobs in Java and Python.
  • Set up environments and write configuration code needed to support service delivery and operations.
  • Monitor production systems and maintain high engineering standards across the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership on complex system challenges and cross-team projects.
  • Participate in project planning and scoping to shape technical solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and help ensure adherence to high coding standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of complex IT systems from hardware through software to algorithms.
  • Very good knowledge of fundamental internet protocols and technologies, including DNS, HTTP, cookies, and similar.
  • Good knowledge of concurrent programming and distributed systems, from threads to geo-distributed clusters.
  • Practical ability to observe, monitor, and analyze production systems and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Ability to evaluate system performance critically, from theoretical estimates to identifying and fixing production performance issues.
  • General knowledge of high scalability and high availability challenges and solutions.
  • C1-level proficiency in English and Polish.
  • Experience in AdTech or Real-Time Bidding is preferred.
  • Experience contributing to Real User Monitoring (RUM) systems is preferred.
  • Experience with Java and Python, as listed among the selected technologies.
