Description

  • Design, build, and maintain PowerShell, Python, Bash, and related automation scripts and workflows.
  • Automate user lifecycle, device provisioning, identity lifecycle, service delivery, and systems administration processes.
  • Integrate platforms using APIs, webhooks, triggers, and conditional workflows, with logging and alerting for auditability and performance measurement.
  • Administer and monitor Active Directory, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, Tanium, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Teams.
  • Resolve Windows and macOS end-user issues, own requests through completion, and escalate critical incidents.
  • Partner with Service Desk, Infrastructure Engineering, and Information Security teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
  • Document workflows, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, integration notes, and technical solutions.
  • Monitor automation reliability, troubleshoot failures, improve existing solutions, and maintain the automation knowledge base.
  • Use and validate AI-assisted tools for scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, and workflow design.
  • Test, deploy, monitor, and communicate automation solutions while providing guidance on scripting best practices.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT systems administration, service desk operations, or a related technical role, including hands-on scripting experience.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience administering enterprise identity, collaboration, and productivity platforms such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Okta, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, or Teams.
  • Experience adapting or troubleshooting automation scripts and workflows to solve moderately complex technical issues.
  • Experience using AI productivity and coding tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot; a portfolio or project example is required.
  • Located in the U.S. Central or Mountain time zone and available for aligned working hours.
  • Availability for an on-call rotation, occasional travel to Rithum offices, and up to 10% travel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, plus successful remote-work experience.
  • Preferred: 3+ years in IT automation, systems engineering, or a DevOps-adjacent role.
  • Preferred: experience with ServiceNow, Intune, Jira, Zapier, Make, n8n, Workato, REST APIs, webhooks, Jamf, Tanium, CrowdStrike, or related certifications and personal automation projects.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $75,000–$115,000 per year plus a 10% discretionary bonus.
