Description

  • Design, build, and maintain PowerShell, Python, Bash, and similar automation scripts and workflows.
  • Automate user lifecycle, device provisioning, identity lifecycle, service delivery, and systems administration processes using platforms such as Okta, Entra ID, Intune, and Jamf.
  • Instrument automations with logging and alerting, and measure reliability, time savings, and error reduction.
  • Administer and monitor identity, endpoint, collaboration, and productivity platforms, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Teams.
  • Resolve Windows and macOS end-user issues, own requests through completion, and escalate critical incidents.
  • Partner with Service Desk, Infrastructure Engineering, and Information Security teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
  • Test, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve automation workflows and integrations.
  • Document workflows, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and integration notes in the automation knowledge base.
  • Use and validate AI-assisted scripts, configurations, documentation, and troubleshooting approaches in accordance with security standards.
  • Participate in escalations and an on-call rotation, and provide guidance on scripting and automation best practices.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT systems administration, service desk operations, or a related technical role, including hands-on scripting experience.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience administering enterprise identity, collaboration, and productivity platforms such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Okta, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, or Teams.
  • Experience adapting and troubleshooting automation scripts or workflows for moderately complex technical issues.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude to improve productivity.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, demonstrated through a portfolio, repository, or project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • U.S. Central or Mountain time-zone location, remote-work experience, occasional quarterly travel, and availability for on-call rotations.
  • Preferred: 3+ years in IT automation, systems engineering, or a DevOps-adjacent role, plus REST APIs, webhooks, workflow orchestration, endpoint management, or ITSM experience.
  • Preferred: Relevant certifications, including CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, or Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, and personal scripting or automation projects.

  • Base salary of $75,000–$115,000 annually, with a discretionary 10% bonus.
