Description

Lead the architecture, design, and development of a scalable, efficient, and secure SaaS product.
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and program teams to deliver software that meets business and customer needs.
Ensure the product meets best practices for performance, security, scalability, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
Mentor other software engineers and help foster continuous learning and innovation within the team.
Debug and troubleshoot complex full-stack issues to maintain optimal performance and user experience.
Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend solutions for future projects.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through deployment and maintenance.
Contribute to the strategic direction of software development for energy efficiency and decarbonization products.

Requirements

10+ years of hands-on experience building software with PHP frameworks such as Laravel.
Expertise in PHP 8.x, including object-oriented programming, language features, and best practices.
Strong experience building RESTful APIs that integrate with other services.
Familiarity with Laravel architecture, features, functionality, and ecosystem tools.
6+ years of experience building software with Vue or similar JavaScript frameworks.
Experience with TypeScript and building single-page applications using the Composition API.
Strong experience with state management, component-based design, and modularized architecture.
Understanding of build tools such as Vite and npm.
Experience leading architecture, design, and development for a scalable SaaS platform.
Proficiency with Git and Git-based workflows.
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure management and serverless environments.
Ability to work with deployment patterns in Laravel's ecosystem.
Experience using cloud monitoring and alerting tools such as New Relic and CloudWatch.
Experience working in an agile/scrum team environment.
Experience writing testable, functional code and tests using Pest or PHPUnit.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline (preferred).
Proven track record of developing SaaS commercial software products (preferred).
Experience with data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence platforms (preferred).
Familiarity with NodeJS (preferred).

Benefits

Base salary range of $100,000 to $144,000.
Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
