Description

  • Prospect for net new growth opportunities through in-person and virtual meetings, email, phone, and campaigns.
  • Manage the opportunity pipeline and engage multiple decision makers to build communication and consensus.
  • Research customer needs and sell solutions aligned to each account’s unique problems and strategic objectives.
  • Lead the account team and cross-functional internal and external partners to develop winning solutions.
  • Close business by advancing late-stage opportunities and delivering persuasive presentations to overcome objections.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term territory and customer relationships.
  • Develop account plans and long-term strategies to drive growth across the territory.
  • Build and maintain customer loyalty, secure references, and support repeat business.
  • Travel regularly within Southern California for customer engagements, conferences, and other revenue-generating activities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in educational software sales.
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales technology such as Salesforce or MS Dynamics.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and policy for the assigned territory.
  • Deep knowledge of the K-12 education space, including public, private, and parochial schools.
  • Strong understanding of K-12 districts, school administrative roles, funding, purchasing habits, policies, practices, trends, and school board oversight.
  • Strong technical knowledge of common tools and trends in the ed-tech space.
  • Knowledge of the educational market with a targeted focus on assessment and instruction tools is preferred.
  • Experience selling educational assessment and analytics products is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $68,000 to $93,500.
  • Total target compensation range of $95,000 to $130,900.
