Description

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities with marinas, yacht clubs, boatyards, and waterfront venues across North America.
  • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery through demonstration, proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Conduct compelling on-site and virtual product demonstrations tailored to each prospect’s operational needs.
  • Build and maintain a self-generated pipeline supplemented by BDR-sourced leads and marketing-qualified opportunities.
  • Develop deep expertise in Dockmaster’s product suite and communicate ROI and business value to marina decision-makers.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time for prospect meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and regional marina events.
  • Collaborate with BDR, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams to support smooth handoffs and customer onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data, forecasts, and activity reporting.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive feedback to the product and marketing teams.
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in a hunter or new business development role with a proven track record of exceeding quota.
  • 3+ years of sales experience with a strong background in hospitality sales, ideally in the marine industry.
  • Experience with SaaS or hospitality software solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to manage a full sales cycle from cold outreach through contract negotiation and close.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to diagnose problems before prescribing solutions.
  • Experience selling software or technology solutions, with SaaS preferred.
  • Comfort with 50%+ travel, including overnight stays and weekend trade shows as needed.
  • Excellent presentation and demo skills, both in person and virtually.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and modern sales engagement platforms.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to build a pipeline independently.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to engage with owner-operators and C-level stakeholders.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Preferred: experience in the marine, marina, or broader waterfront/hospitality industry.
  • Preferred: familiarity with marina operations, slip management, or marine service businesses.
  • Preferred: experience selling to owner-operators or small-to-midsize business decision-makers.
  • Preferred: background in vertical SaaS or industry-specific software sales.
  • Preferred: existing network or relationships within the North American marine community.
