Description

  • Strategize, draft, and negotiate complex partnership agreements, including embedded services, channel/reseller agreements, and referral programs.
  • Support global partnership deals and other channel arrangements across Remote's business.
  • Partner with Partnerships, Sales, Finance, Product, and other cross-functional teams to structure agreements that align with business goals and manage legal and operational risk.
  • Serve as an additional legal point of contact for EMEA sales when needed, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Develop and improve contract templates, playbooks, processes, and other knowledge resources for partnership deals.
  • Provide legal training and guidance to Partnership and other GTM stakeholders on complex commercial issues.
  • Resolve negotiation issues with a solutions-focused approach and avoid unnecessary escalation.

Requirements

  • Experience with partnership, embedded, reseller, and channel agreements is required.
  • Experience supporting commercial transactions, especially enterprise SaaS agreements and global sales support.
  • Prior HR tech industry experience or familiarity with bespoke HR services agreements is beneficial.
  • Strong commercial drafting skills with the ability to create clear and enforceable partnership frameworks.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop practical solutions for complex commercial issues.
  • Strong commercial judgment and strategic thinking in balancing business goals and legal risk.
  • Strong working knowledge of data protection laws, especially GDPR.
  • Background in U.S. data protection laws is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across teams.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with GTM stakeholders while maintaining independent legal judgment.
  • Comfortable applying a flexible, pragmatic approach in contract negotiations.
