Description

  • Manage end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions, ensuring a strong offboarding experience for clients and employees.
  • Provide guidance on termination, resignation, transfer, and redundancy processes while maintaining legal compliance and best practices.
  • Lead client and employee meetings for workforce reductions, administrative hearings, separations, settlements, and termination outcomes.
  • Negotiate positive outcomes in complex termination cases involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions, to support compliant offboarding and audits.
  • Draft, tailor, and administer termination and related documents accurately while maintaining privacy and confidentiality requirements.
  • Process offboarding cases in the internal HRIS and work with teams such as Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for internal and external offboarding queries and guide clients through Remote’s employee relations resources and policies.
  • Assess workplace concerns, identify relevant facts and local regulations, and coordinate appropriate handling of employee relations matters.
  • Support process improvements, automation, product development, and customer and employee experience enhancements across lifecycle processes.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR experience across the employee lifecycle.
  • Proven experience managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance.
  • Experience providing HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to interpret industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, conduct research, and recommend practical solutions in ambiguous environments.
  • Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
  • Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Aptitude for innovation, process optimization, and identifying automation opportunities.
  • Strong attention to record-keeping and data integrity.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote, international environment with multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience collaborating asynchronously with various tools and adapting to new systems is preferred.
