Description

  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver product and business strategy initiatives.
  • Build novel products and features for moderators and the broader Reddit ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the full development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
  • Review code, design documents, product specs, and mocks, and provide feedback.
  • Help drive technical and product strategy, operations, architecture, and execution for a high-impact platform area.
  • Continuously learn and improve both technical and non-technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of software development industry experience in an enterprise environment.
  • A BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency with one or more general-purpose programming languages, with Go or Python required; Rust or Ruby are also relevant.
  • Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift, or gRPC basics.
  • Ability to design and implement maintainable APIs.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule.
  • Self-directed, innovative, and comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote setting.
