Description

  • Identify, prospect, and close new SaaS customers across biotech hubs in the territory.
  • Own the full SaaS sales cycle from discovery and demo through technical validation, negotiation, and close.
  • Build pipeline through cold outreach, on-site visits, networking, cluster events, and referrals.
  • Maintain and grow gross profit dollars across existing accounts in the territory.
  • Meet in person with scientists and procurement teams to increase e-commerce adoption.
  • Use Salesforce and Looker data to identify product gaps, missed savings, and workflow friction.
  • Introduce new product categories and promotions to expand share of wallet.
  • Partner with Marketing on campaigns that support SaaS and e-commerce growth.
  • Coordinate with Supply, Software, Pricing, Customer Success, and Operations to share field insights and improve execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of life science sales experience, specifically selling laboratory supplies for a distributor or manufacturer.
  • Degree from a top 50 university.
  • Strong familiarity with lab products, consumables, and procurement workflows in biotech.
  • Comfortable speaking with scientists and driving in-person sales conversations.
  • Demonstrated hustle and a track record of consistently hitting goals, even in non-traditional sales roles.
  • Experience negotiating with procurement professionals at BioPharma companies.
  • Existing relationships and a network of contacts in SMB biotech.
  • Based in Northern New Jersey or NYC, or willing to relocate.
  • Willing to visit customers and prospects frequently.
  • Willing to travel to Philadelphia about 33% of the time and Harrisburg about twice a year.
