Description

  • Design and implement modular software for an embedded Java IoT gateway running on Debian Linux (Cortex A5/A7).
  • Integrate with Charge Controller (Cortex M4) to collect charging session data and control delivered power.
  • Implement and maintain integrations with cloud services using OCPP 2.0.1 over WebSocket/JSON and expose REST APIs for web and mobile apps.
  • Control and manage on-board network peripherals and integrate external energy meters using ModBus.
  • Design and implement load management algorithms and enforce security protocols for communications (SSL/TLS/WSS/HTTPS).
  • Employ test-driven development and implement test automation from early stages of the project.
  • Lead and mentor team members, perform code reviews, and take technical ownership of delivered solutions.
  • Work within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive fact-based technical decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience on Java projects.
  • Experience with modular and microservices architectures and enterprise application integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with embedded/resource-constrained systems (e.g., ARM Cortex A5) is a plus.
  • Proven experience with Linux environments and bash scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of coding best practices, debugging, unit testing, and version control (Git/GitLab).
  • Experience with Java frameworks and tools such as Java, Spring, Drools, Spring JDBC, Maven, and IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA, NetBeans).
  • Experience with WebSockets, REST APIs, SQL, and security protocols (SSL/TLS/HTTPS/WSS).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban), test automation (XRay), CI/CD and build/release tools (GitLab CI, Artifactory, Nexus).
  • Self-motivated, excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, experience doing code reviews and mentoring less experienced peers.
