Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making criteria.
  • Translate Everpure and ecosystem technologies into measurable business outcomes for customers.
  • Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to shape customer strategy and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead technical responsibilities in the sales process and strengthen sales strategy and tactics.
  • Provide technical leadership on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competing storage offerings.
  • Run evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
  • Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospects.
  • Capture requirements and convert customer business needs into innovative solutions.
  • Author responses to RFI and RFP requests.
  • Support interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation.
  • Work with product and technical marketing to create supporting materials such as whitepapers and web presentations.
  • Stay current on competition, market trends, and solution positioning.

Requirements

  • BS in CS, EE, or another technical degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Pre-sales experience is required.
  • Must reside in the Albany, NY area.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
  • Experience supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts preferred.
  • Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solution architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Familiarity with modern web architecture is a plus, including LAMP stack, scale-out vs. scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices.
  • Experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
  • Ability to contribute to and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Strong knowledge of storage architectures such as FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native transformation, on-prem, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.
  • Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
  • Experience with distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory, storage subsystems, shared memory, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
  • Knowledge of VMware, LANs, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with storage-intensive applications such as SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity, empathy, curiosity, an open mind, and a desire for continuous learning.
