Description

  • Design, scope, build, and validate technical integrations with technology alliance partners.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to prioritize partner-facing APIs, plugins, and joint tooling.
  • Design reference architectures, solution patterns, demos, sandboxes, and proof-of-concepts for joint solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for named technology alliance partners.
  • Align with partner engineering and product leadership on roadmaps, integration priorities, and technical dependencies.
  • Represent Chainguard in joint architecture reviews and technical collaboration with partners.
  • Create technical enablement content such as architecture docs, playbooks, and workshops for partner and field teams.
  • Run joint webinars, workshops, and technical briefings with partner teams.
  • Manage the technical requirements for cloud marketplace listings and co-sell programs.
  • Feed partner needs, blockers, and roadmap requests back to Chainguard product and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Partner/Technical Alliances, Sales Engineering, or a related technical partnerships role.
  • Experience building or supporting technical integrations such as APIs, SDKs, plugins, or marketplace listings.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with container and Kubernetes ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native software supply chain security.
  • Hands-on experience with artifact repository managers such as JFrog Artifactory, Cloudsmith, or Sonatype Nexus.
  • Comfort operating as a technical bridge between two engineering organizations.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical topics to engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as needed for partner summits, conferences, and QBRs.
  • Preferred: direct experience in technology alliances, ISV partnerships, or partner engineering.
  • Preferred: experience with cloud marketplace listing processes such as AWS Marketplace, Azure Marketplace, or GCP Marketplace.
  • Preferred: technical evangelism and storytelling experience at partner or industry events.
  • Preferred: high emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills across engineering and executive stakeholders.
  • Preferred: prior open-source contribution or community involvement in the cloud-native ecosystem.

Benefits

  • OTE of $237,142.86-$320,000 with a 70/30 split.
  • Base salary range of $166,000-$195,000 USD.
