Description

  • Partner with Japanese customers to design, deploy, and optimize mission-critical applications, including databases, in Kubernetes and other container orchestration environments.
  • Provide advanced technical escalation support to the Technical Support Engineering team.
  • Lead joint solution development with technology partners to expand the Portworx ecosystem and improve interoperability.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and collaborate with sales teams to drive adoption, expansion, and long-term satisfaction.
  • Build and deliver demos, reference architectures, and best practices that showcase Portworx in cloud-native and hybrid environments.
  • Create technical content in Japanese, including deployment guides, implementation documents, operational runbooks, and customer-facing solution materials.
  • Support customer deployment, integration, and optimization activities throughout the Portworx adoption lifecycle.
  • Provide expert-level technical guidance during customer engagements, especially for strategic and enterprise accounts in Japan.

Requirements

  • Native-level Japanese language proficiency with strong technical writing ability.
  • Professional-level English communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of compute infrastructure, storage systems, and container orchestration across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure, including storage and compute services.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one of the following: Kubernetes (Helm, Operators, CRDs), OpenShift and the Red Hat ecosystem, Rancher and multi-cluster management, KubeVirt and virtualized workloads on Kubernetes, or distributed storage and cloud storage architectures.
  • Practical experience with DevOps and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
  • Senior-level experience in a customer-facing role with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with customers and internal engineering teams, including escalation handling and product improvement discussions.
