Description

  • Manage the day-to-day priorities, workload, and performance of the assigned Application Specialists team.
  • Track funnel metrics such as contact rate, application completion, admit-to-start conversion, and census attendance, and take corrective action when needed.
  • Coach team members through one-on-ones, call reviews, pipeline audits, and performance conversations.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate development plans with the Manager of Admissions Services.
  • Use the Risk Rating Assessment Rubric to identify at-risk students and direct engagement strategies.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the assigned partner institution’s admissions processes, systems, policies, people, and academic requirements.
  • Train Application Specialists on partner-specific admissions procedures and keep internal documentation current and accessible.
  • Represent PKH Admissions in partner-facing meetings, including admissions, financial aid, and departmental sessions.
  • Attend STITCH coordination sessions, escalate student issues, and communicate resolution status to the team.
  • Support new partner launches by validating workflows, systems access, SLAs, and operational risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience working in higher education with adult students in an online setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in admissions, enrollment management, or student recruitment.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in higher education recruiting, advising, and/or admissions with team leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of the challenges and needs specific to adult learners in higher education.
  • Experience with CRM, LMS, and SIS platforms and other technologies used in online higher education and student management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and manage individual contributors in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret funnel data and translate insights into coaching and operational actions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to represent the organization credibly in partner-facing settings.
  • Knowledge of relevant academic policies, procedures, and FERPA, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
