Description

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR policies, performance management, employee engagement, and career development.
  • Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day employee questions about HR processes, payroll, benefits, and company policies.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and write compelling job descriptions.
  • Manage the full recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers.
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing roles.
  • Support employer branding efforts and collaborate with external recruiters to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with leaders to design and implement learning, development, and engagement initiatives.
  • Support career frameworks, performance reviews, leadership development programs, and coaching for managers.
  • Own core HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and leaves of absence.
  • Ensure HR compliance across the U.S. and Canada, including payroll processing, tax accounts, benefits administration, and workplace requirements.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a high-growth, professional services, or creative agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. employment laws and practices; Canadian experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience leading recruitment and talent acquisition efforts.
  • Experience across at least three HR disciplines, such as employee relations, performance management, HR operations, learning and development, engagement programs, or culture-building initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where processes are being built and improved.
  • Experience with Canadian employment practices is preferred.
  • Ability to manage payroll for multiple jurisdictions and maintain tax and local accounts across multiple states.
  • Experience in a newly created or standalone HR role is relevant.
  • $90,000–$115,000 annual salary range.
