Description

  • Serve as the day-to-day strategic advisor to clients and ensure work is strategically aligned, on budget, and delivered on time.
  • Understand clients’ business challenges and help define and achieve their business goals.
  • Prepare annual strategic and tactical plans, along with campaign and project plans as needed.
  • Manage and strengthen client relationships and act as an extension of the client’s team.
  • Propose, sell, and oversee client ideas and projects tied to client objectives.
  • Generate revenue and support profitability through strong account and budget management.
  • Identify, cultivate, and participate in new business opportunities and pitches.
  • Oversee internal resources and manage team efficiency to maximize effectiveness for clients and the company.
  • Coach, mentor, and train Strategic Account Directors, Managers, and Associates, with emphasis on junior staff development.
  • Support department- and company-level initiatives and report on the status of client relationships to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine is preferred.
  • Advanced degree in management, marketing, or business is also preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical or biotech marketing experience, medical affairs experience, or medical communications agency experience.
  • Experience successfully managing and growing $2.5M+ pharma or healthcare accounts.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and profitability targets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Internet proficiency.
  • Strong PowerPoint design proficiency.
  • Experience acting as a trusted strategic or business advisor to marketers and other managers is preferred.
  • Experience leading and managing employees, growing client relationships, and managing expanding business opportunities is preferred.
