Description

  • Serve as the primary client liaison and support proposals, presentations, and bid defenses.
  • Oversee global clinical trials or portfolios across planning, initiation, execution, and closeout.
  • Direct project managers and cross-functional teams, setting expectations and driving study strategies.
  • Manage study scope, budgets, profitability, billing, forecasting, change orders, and financial health.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, risk mitigation, and change management strategies.
  • Ensure quality management, eTMF inspection readiness, issue resolution, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Establish progress metrics and provide status updates, KPIs, solutions, and recommendations to clients and leadership.
  • Lead internal and client meetings, communicate protocol issues and deviations, and implement necessary actions.
  • Ensure study-specific training and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor project management staff, provide performance feedback, support SOP improvements, and address team performance issues.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent education and experience in a science or health-related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 8 years of clinical research experience and 5 years of direct project management experience, or demonstrated equivalent competencies.
  • Experience managing highly complex global studies or portfolios of studies.
  • Highly experienced in pharmaceutical and/or medical device research.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, eTMF, EDC, CTMS, and project management software.
  • Mastery of ICH-GCP and relevant SOPs.
  • Strong project planning, risk management, change management, cross-functional leadership, and escalation skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, conflict management, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, influence, and develop cross-functional study teams while working independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.
