Description

  • Identify opportunities for biospecimen products and services, including biofluids, prospective collections, tissues, cells, and specialty and central-lab offerings.
  • Build and maintain relationship maps for key clients and new accounts in the assigned area.
  • Retain and grow the existing account base by identifying cross-sell opportunities across the Precision Translational Sciences portfolio.
  • Follow up on marketing leads and website inquiries to qualify and enrich leads.
  • Prospect for new clients within the geographic market to maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Identify decision makers, perform needs analyses, and pursue qualified opportunities within client organizations.
  • Close new business and expand existing business relationships.
  • Resolve client complaints promptly and professionally by routing them to the appropriate team members.
  • Collaborate with marketing, clinical operations, lab operations, project management, SMEs, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate customer relationship management records and metrics in Salesforce.com and other CRM systems.
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of sales experience in the life sciences or healthcare industry, or 3+ years in laboratory research, service, clinical operations, or customer support in the life sciences industry.
  • Preferred academic concentration in life sciences or a related field.
  • 5 years of related life sciences experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and create plans to achieve personal goals.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, and act tactically in a dynamic environment.
  • Track record of increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong command of basic life science terminology and application.
  • Must be self-directed and self-motivated to work at a highly technical level.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory up to 35%, including domestic and international overnight travel.
  • Valid driver’s license for the state(s) in which you drive.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
  • Team player willing to collaborate and share knowledge.
