Description

  • Educate prospects and customers on TiDB capabilities and integration best practices.
  • Understand customer requirements and translate them into business value using TiDB.
  • Guide the design and deployment of hybrid transactional and analytical database solutions.
  • Partner with the Sales team on RFPs and technical requirements.
  • Prepare demos and proofs-of-concept for TiDB use cases.
  • Create technical content that helps customers integrate TiDB and adopt best practices.
  • Support developers, DBAs, product managers, and project owners during implementations.
  • Assist with debugging database integrations and recommending code optimizations.
  • Document customer architectural solutions that are designed and deployed.
  • Communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Participate in public speaking events, both in person and online.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in solution design and implementation as a Solution Architect or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong technical proficiency across cloud computing, microservices architecture, API design, database systems, and security principles.
  • Strong database experience is required, with MySQL experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of Python, Shell, or Golang is a plus.
  • Docker and Kubernetes knowledge is a strong plus.
  • Experience with public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Ability to travel 15-25% depending on the role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a comparable field is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Experience supporting databases such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, or MongoDB, or big data systems such as Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, or Spark is a strong plus.
  • Experience operating MySQL, Cassandra, Postgres, or other transactional databases in a large-scale production environment is a strong plus.
  • Experience operating databases in Kubernetes or public cloud environments is a strong plus.
