Description

  • Support strategic customer conversations with technical and engineering leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver executive-level messaging, sales presentations, and custom product demonstrations.
  • Lead deep technical discovery sessions to uncover customer requirements and explain Okta CIAM value.
  • Whiteboard solution architecture and model how Okta’s CIAM solutions support business needs.
  • Design, build, and execute outcome-focused proof-of-concepts.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Okta customer identity products, technologies, and protocols.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to Solutions Engineering teams across Okta and Auth0.
  • Collaborate with the Global Office of the Field CTO to surface field insights, customer needs, and product trends.
  • Deliver keynote presentations, webinars, and technical sessions at industry and customer events.
  • Partner with sales leadership, enablement, and field teams to improve execution, messaging, and regional initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a presales or customer-facing role, including at least 3 years working on CIAM projects.
  • 8+ years of development experience, preferably focused on application integration with identity services.
  • 8+ years of experience working with REST APIs and SDKs.
  • Experience with customer identity and access management solutions such as Okta or Auth0.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas using whiteboarding, practical examples, and product demonstrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience contributing to technical events.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization and manage cross-functional initiatives.
  • Must be located in the USA and willing to travel up to 40%; role is remote with required in-person onboarding and at least 25% travel noted in the posting.
  • Preferred: full-stack web application development experience, including frontend and backend.
  • Preferred: mobile development experience on iOS or Android.
  • Preferred: experience architecting and integrating scalable CIAM solutions using API-first approaches across web, mobile, and cloud platforms.
  • Preferred: experience with AI-driven customer experience integration with Auth0, including AI agents, MCP servers, and fine-grained authorization.

Benefits

  • Annual on-target compensation of $170,000-$256,000 USD for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Annual on-target compensation of $152,000-$228,000 USD for candidates in California outside the Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
