Description

  • Build, expand, and optimize UI and API automation test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Maintain and scale automation frameworks using modular Page Object Models and step abstractions.
  • Write resilient automation logic for asynchronous flows, custom promises, network interception, and element visibility handling.
  • Use AI coding tools to accelerate test generation, script refactoring, and framework optimization.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for scheduled regression and night-run execution.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to review acceptance criteria and translate them into automated and manual test coverage.
  • Isolate, document, and track defects in Jira while working with development teams to support rapid fixes.
  • Write and maintain test plans, test environments, test cases, and automated and manual test scripts.

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of hands-on QA automation experience using Playwright with TypeScript or strong JavaScript.
  • Strong proficiency with Playwright primitives, including locator actionability, assertions, multi-tab handling, browser state reuse, and advanced locator strategies.
  • Solid TypeScript/JavaScript fundamentals, including async/await, conditional control flow, and structured error handling.
  • Practical experience using Cursor IDE or AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini for test generation, debugging, and refactoring.
  • Experience with functional, regression, sanity, and integration testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Data-Driven or BDD/TDD test design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Git workflows, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and merge conflict resolution.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipeline environments and Git-based code management.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL queries.
  • Experience with cross-browser cloud grids such as BrowserStack, LambdaTest, or Sauce Labs (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for localized test runner environments (preferred).
  • Exposure to Selenium Java, Cypress, Appium, or REST Assured (preferred).
  • Knowledge of performance/load testing basics using JMeter and familiarity with performance or security testing (preferred).
  • Familiarity with self-healing automation scripts and AI-based defect prediction (preferred).
