Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated API and end-to-end tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Apply risk-based testing to prioritize automation and identify coverage gaps.
  • Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and maintain environment promotion quality gates.
  • Monitor, triage, and resolve test failures and flakiness by addressing root causes.
  • Use SQL for database validation and data integrity checks during the MongoDB-to-PostgreSQL migration.
  • Own performance and load testing, establish endpoint baselines, and report regressions.
  • Maintain test cases, execution results, and traceability in Xray, and document defects with supporting evidence.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies to identify testability concerns before development begins.
  • Collaborate with developers on test reviews, testability improvements, and shift-left quality practices.
  • Improve the automation framework, test data strategy, and quality reporting.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional QA experience, including ownership of test automation.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
  • Hands-on Playwright experience, or extensive Cypress/Selenium experience with working knowledge of Playwright.
  • Strong REST API testing skills, including authentication, payload and schema validation, status codes, and negative scenarios; Postman or equivalent experience.
  • Experience running automated tests in CI/CD pipelines with headless execution, parallel runs, artifacts, and reporting.
  • Experience managing test cases and execution records in tools such as Xray or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong defect documentation skills, including reproduction steps, severity, priority, and evidence.
  • SQL proficiency for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
  • Preferred: experience with AI feature testing, k6/JMeter, database migrations, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, AI-assisted development tools, or EHS and compliance software.
