Description

  • Develop and enhance backend services and system components for the cybersecurity platform.
  • Design, implement, and maintain features in Java using Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
  • Build RESTful APIs and manage data flows across platform services.
  • Design database schemas, perform migrations, and write efficient SQL for relational databases.
  • Create and maintain automation and tooling in Bash, Python, and/or Go for builds, deployments, diagnostics, and test harnesses.
  • Operate and troubleshoot on Rocky Linux servers across operating system, networking, JVM, and database layers.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, knowledge sharing, and SCRUM meetings.
  • Collaborate within an Agile software development lifecycle.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests for platform code.

Requirements

  • 5–6+ years of experience developing and supporting multithreaded applications in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Strong experience developing applications in Java with solid object-oriented programming knowledge, including concurrency and collections.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and writing unit/integration tests.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills with hands-on experience using relational databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
  • Comfort working in Linux, preferably Rocky, CentOS, or RHEL, including shell use, system services, logs, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Good scripting skills in Bash and Python, with Go as a bonus.
  • Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience using IntelliJ or Eclipse.
  • BSCS, MSCS, or a related technical field.
  • Bonus experience with Linux networking tools such as iptables, ipset, ebtables, routing, bridging, VLANs, and packet capture/analysis.
  • Bonus experience with Active Directory integration, including AD/LDAP/Kerberos, Windows domain concepts, service accounts, and GPOs.
  • Bonus experience automating or integrating with cloud APIs for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and/or OCI.
  • Bonus experience with vSphere/ESXi for VM lifecycle management.
  • Bonus experience with VirtualBox and VBox CLI (vboxmanage) for automation.
  • Bonus experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
  • Bonus experience using Bitbucket or GitLab for repositories, merge requests, CI pipelines, and permissions.
  • Cybersecurity domain experience, such as threat detection, hardening, or threat research.
  • Experience working on Agile software development projects.
