Description

  • Identify and source software businesses that meet acquisition criteria and performance metrics.
  • Develop and execute targeted prospecting campaigns through email and outbound calls.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective acquisition targets and sell-side M&A investment banking firms.
  • Lead preliminary evaluations of potential acquisitions, including business and financial due diligence and risk assessment.
  • Manage a robust deal pipeline and keep it updated as new targets and information emerge.
  • Conduct industry and market research to identify trends and new acquisition opportunities.
  • Review and analyze investment materials and turn large amounts of data into concise, actionable insights and presentations.
  • Drive acquisition opportunities forward from sourcing through execution and maintain momentum throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks based on deal timelines and strategic importance.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical and operational support and collaborate cross-functionally on data requests, due diligence, and internal alignment.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Corporate Development is required.
  • Prior experience with software M&A transactions is a must.
  • Strong academic performance from a top-tier institution is required.
  • An undergraduate degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional maturity and confidence in interacting with C-level executives are required.
  • Highly proactive, self-directed, and driven, with strong sales and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership potential.
  • Solid foundation in accounting principles and financial modeling.
  • Understanding of software business models and the M&A transaction lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical ability, pattern recognition skills, and advanced Excel proficiency.
