Description

  • Build durable relationships with technical practitioners, influencers, maintainers, conference speakers, community leaders, reviewers, and content creators.
  • Identify genuine influence across LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Discord, Reddit, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and specialist forums.
  • Secure endorsements, testimonials, forewords, guest posts, reviews, and other attributable expert contributions.
  • Design and execute pre- and post-publication campaigns, including reviewer outreach, community activations, and audience list building.
  • Partner with Growth and commissioning teams on metadata, keywords, positioning, and audience-specific messaging.
  • Track campaign performance, review velocity, sentiment, engagement, sales, conversion, and Amazon rank.
  • Develop partnerships with vendors, training providers, certification bodies, conferences, universities, bootcamps, and training companies.
  • Identify bulk purchasing and licensing opportunities and coordinate their execution with sales and marketing.
  • Build practitioner communities, support webinars and technical events, and grow owned audiences through community programs.
  • Feed community intelligence into commissioning and build sustainable Amazon credibility systems for assigned titles.

Requirements

  • Fluency and credibility within a technical community, with the ability to engage practitioners in substantive conversations.
  • Experience in developer relations, community management, technical marketing, or a comparable outward-facing technical role.
  • An existing network within the relevant technical vertical is preferred.
  • Experience owning campaigns and planning, sequencing, and measuring activity against outcomes.
  • Strong commercial judgment and comfort being evaluated on measurable results rather than outreach volume.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to represent Packt publicly.
  • Comfort using data, including Amazon performance metrics, campaign analytics, conversion, sales, and rank data.
  • Experience securing expert contributions, coordinating reviews, or building technical communities is advantageous.
