Description

  • Design, build, and maintain high-throughput backend microservices in Golang and Node.js.
  • Own and evolve the event-streaming architecture built on Apache Kafka.
  • Handle partitioning, message ordering, delivery guarantees, and asynchronous workflows under load.
  • Architect, scale, and optimize data layers using Redis and MongoDB.
  • Deploy, run, and manage services in Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
  • Translate ambiguous product requirements into scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Take end-to-end ownership from system design through production deployment and reliability.
  • Solve complex backend calculation logic for domains such as gaming, payouts, or financial transactions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Golang proficiency.
  • Strong production experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience architecting and maintaining production systems with Apache Kafka.
  • Experience deploying and debugging containerized services in Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Redis and MongoDB data modeling, caching, and indexing.
  • Prior experience in small, fast-moving teams or early-stage startups with end-to-end ownership.
  • Ability to pass a hands-on technical assessment covering Go concurrency, system design, and Kafka.
  • Strong mathematical or quantitative problem-solving ability is preferred.
  • Interest in or exposure to LLMs, autonomous agent workflows, or meta-prompting is preferred.
  • Availability to align working hours between EST and Eastern Europe (EET) is preferred.
