Description

  • Design, build, and evolve backend systems that power core gameplay and live-service operations at scale.
  • Support live-ops initiatives and game design releases before and after launch.
  • Coordinate closely with the design team throughout the lifecycle of game updates and content releases.
  • Lead incident management, reliability hardening, and operational readiness for production systems.
  • Drive the technical roadmap for backend initiatives and scalable server architecture.
  • Lead the design and delivery of high-impact features that connect server-side logic with game client requirements.
  • Partner with Product, Design, QA, and Analytics to unblock technical issues and facilitate design discussions.
  • Contribute hands-on to feature development across client and server codebases while maintaining code quality and maintainability.
  • Identify and reduce technical debt and operational bottlenecks to improve team velocity.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership within a cross-functional game development team.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience in gaming or large-scale live-service applications.
  • Deep expertise in backend engineering with high-level server-side languages and frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating with game client engineers, such as Unity/C# developers, on full-stack features.
  • Proven experience designing scalable systems and supporting live-service operations.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience with modern CI/CD practices.
  • Experience working with content pipelines and performance optimization.
  • Experience building player-facing features such as progression, social systems, live events, or monetization.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between backend services and Unity clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, proactive mindset with high ownership and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
