Description

  • Work directly with Okta customers in a post-sales consulting role to deliver implementation and deployment services.
  • Gather, analyze, and document post-sales requirements and customer needs.
  • Lead multiple concurrent customer deployment projects, managing scope, schedule, status, and documentation.
  • Provide technical design, configuration, and troubleshooting for the Okta service.
  • Communicate with customers and partners at the appropriate technical or functional level.
  • Mentor and train customers on the service and support their transition to maintenance and support phases.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, Product Management, Engineering, and Support to resolve issues and influence product development.
  • Collaborate with sales on up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with existing customers.
  • Shape and improve delivery processes, methods, and standard methodologies for greater scalability and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and support to less experienced team members as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical consultant delivering solutions to external customers.
  • Software development experience with technologies such as Java, Ruby, .Net, PHP, or REST/JSON.
  • Experience with JavaScript and one major JavaScript MVC framework such as Backbone, Angular, Ember, or React.
  • General knowledge of cloud architectures and complex enterprise on-premise IT environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise identity lifecycle management processes and standards.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer engagements.
  • Ability and willingness to be a hands-on contributor.
  • Strong communication skills, including issue tracking, triaging, crisis management, and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with API management tools such as Mulesoft, Axway, or Apigee preferred.
  • SaaS deployment experience with tools such as Salesforce, Box, Office 365, or Workday preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing security and identity management solutions preferred.
  • Knowledge of identity federation and access control protocols such as SAML 2.0, WS-Federation, OAuth, or OpenID Connect preferred.
  • AD and LDAP experience preferred.
  • Experience with popular AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT preferred.

  • OTE range of $176,000-$264,000 USD for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • OTE range of $157,000-$235,000 USD for candidates in California outside the Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
