Description

  • Exceed assigned quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders across assigned regions and new markets.
  • Develop and report on a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Work with customers to define requirements for future bids and contract quotations.
  • Travel to client locations and industry events to cultivate sales opportunities and partnerships.
  • Gather and communicate competitive, customer, and market intelligence to the company.
  • Prepare price quotations, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Use CRM and ERP systems to process quotes and orders.
  • Support inside sales with quote generation, data entry, and identification of funding opportunities.
  • Maintain sales records, reports, expense filings, and a Google calendar of client activity and travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience, or 5 years of industry experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Established understanding of government sales and federal contracting.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense, military, federal agencies, or law enforcement.
  • Ability to carry out skillful negotiations and work within deadlines with little supervision.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, if required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, and Salesforce.
  • Proficient internet searching skills.
  • NetSuite experience or familiarity with an ERP system preferred.
