Description

  • Respond to inbound sales inquiries via phone and email and qualify prospects based on licensing needs and career goals.
  • Conduct proactive outbound outreach to leads and potential customers and follow up at key decision points.
  • Guide customers through course selection, enrollment, and purchase decisions for construction education products.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of product offerings and state-specific contractor licensing requirements.
  • Recommend appropriate course packages and provide consultative guidance on education pathways and career development.
  • Document customer interactions, process orders, and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and current students and resolve customer concerns appropriately.
  • Track sales activities, report on results, and work toward monthly sales targets and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with team members, participate in sales meetings and training sessions, and support special projects as needed.
  • Process payments, handle basic billing inquiries, and coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a phone sales role.
  • Prior sales experience is required, preferably in education or professional services.
  • Experience with consultative selling techniques.
  • Strong phone presence and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to listen actively, identify customer needs, and manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with LMSs, CRMs, project management software, call center phone systems, and organizational tools.
  • Experience in professional education preferred; higher education, K-12, and other product experience are also considered.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry or contractor licensing is a plus.
