Description

  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, NPs/PAs, consultant pharmacists, dispensing pharmacists, and nursing facility leadership and staff in the long-term care setting.
  • Promote Acadia products through compliant clinical, disease state, and reimbursement education tailored to customer needs.
  • Identify and address customer questions, concerns, and objections using advanced selling skills.
  • Develop knowledge of customers, practices, and regional market trends to inform territory business planning.
  • Create and execute quarterly territory business and action plans using data to improve reach, frequency, and impact within budget.
  • Provide guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and LTC profitability considerations and serve as a liaison on access-related questions.
  • Collaborate with sales management, teammates, and cross-functional partners in managed markets, marketing, operations, and training.
  • Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, product launches, and training sessions and support regional and national initiatives.
  • Mentor and train new or junior Sales Specialists and contribute field insights to cross-functional projects.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and LTC regulations affecting medication use and resident care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a life sciences emphasis is preferred.
  • 3 years of sales experience with at least 1 year in pharmaceutical and/or related healthcare sales is required for Sales Specialist level.
  • 8+ years of healthcare sales experience with at least 2 years in complex or account-based selling is required for Sr. Specialist level.
  • 12+ years of healthcare sales experience with at least 3 years in complex or account-based selling is required for Executive level.
  • Experience in neuroscience is preferred.
  • Proven leadership, mentorship, and role-model capabilities at a regional level.
  • Strong business acumen, organization, self-motivation, and a business ownership mindset.
  • In-depth knowledge of neuroscience, long-term care market dynamics, payer systems such as Part A and Part D, specialty distribution, and applicable LTC regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual engagement platforms such as Zoom and WebEx.
  • Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its border, and if required, within reasonable proximity to a major airport.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to drive a company vehicle daily and travel independently by air.
  • Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays and occasional after-hours work.
  • Must meet vaccination and facility access requirements for customer visits and event participation.
