Description

  • Exceed assigned quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals in the assigned territory.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and end-users to create and grow sales opportunities within the Lower West Coast Air Force region.
  • Manage and report a weekly sales pipeline of opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Develop customer requirements for future bids and contract quotations for equipment and services.
  • Travel to client locations and attend symposiums, conferences, trade shows, vendor ride-alongs, and other events to cultivate sales leads.
  • Prepare and provide price quotations, establish credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates, and accurately process quotes received in writing, electronically, or by phone.
  • Use internal CRM and ERP systems to process quotes and orders and assist Inside Sales with data entry and identifying funding opportunities.
  • Gather and communicate competitive and customer intelligence, and collaborate with customers and internal teams on product development or modifications.
  • Perform administrative duties including preparing reports, maintaining sales records, filing expense reports, and maintaining a calendar of client calls, travel, and pipeline activities.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative.
  • Established understanding of Government Sales and Federal Contracting.
  • Experience working with Department of Defense, Military, Federal Agencies, and Law Enforcement.
  • Bachelor's degree plus three years of sales experience OR five years of industry experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance, if required.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites and events across the territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with little supervision, meet deadlines, multitask, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills; professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite; proficient internet research skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce and familiarity with NetSuite or another ERP system are a plus.
