Description

  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and assigned agencies and departments.
  • Manage and report a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Develop customer requirements for future bids and contract quotations for equipment and services.
  • Travel to client locations and attend symposiums, conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to create sales opportunities.
  • Gather and communicate competitive and customer intelligence, including market opportunities and threats.
  • Provide price quotations, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Use internal CRM and ERP systems to process quotes and orders.
  • Support Inside Sales with data entry, quote generation, and identifying funding opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, maintain sales records, file expense reports, and keep a Google calendar of calls, travel, and pipeline activity.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative.
  • Established understanding of government sales and federal contracting.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense, military, federal agencies, and law enforcement.
  • Ability to complete work within deadlines with little supervision.
  • Ability to carry out skillful negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance, if required.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience, or 5 years of industry experience instead of education.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, and Salesforce.
  • Proficient internet searching skills.
  • NetSuite or familiarity with an ERP system is a plus.
