Description

  • Own the end-to-end warranty and RMA process across all sites, from fault identification through vendor claims to resolution.
  • Chase hardware vendors to meet agreed SLAs and escalate issues proactively before turnaround times are breached.
  • Build and maintain accurate, up-to-date asset tracking across all sites using tools such as Jira.
  • Manage strategic spares inventory by identifying failure-rate patterns and positioning critical components where they are needed.
  • Coordinate with Site Operations Leads and Infrastructure Engineering to keep hardware movements and diagnostics flowing without bottlenecks.
  • Report on claim status, vendor performance, and asset movements to the Head of Infrastructure.
  • Lay the groundwork to build and lead a team as the asset and warranty function scales.

Requirements

  • Hands-on warranty and RMA management experience with active processing of hardware warranty claims through to resolution.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships directly through claim resolution.
  • Technical understanding of IT hardware, including GPUs, power supplies, RAM, transceivers, and network switches.
  • Ability to manage hundreds of simultaneous warranty claims and asset movements with strong use of ticketing and tracking tools.
  • Assertive, proactive communication style and willingness to chase vendors when SLAs are missed.
  • Strategic inventory thinking with the ability to anticipate spares requirements and manage stock across multiple sites.
  • Background as a hardware or IT asset manager in a large infrastructure environment, or as a spares/warranty manager in telco, electronics, or IT hardware (preferred).
  • Experience transitioning from systems or technical operations engineering into asset/logistics ownership (preferred).
  • Experience building or scaling a team as a function grows (preferred).
